Anniversary Vilcabamba: Village Key and Temple Route
Find the Village Key and follow the temple-side routes in City of Vilcabamba without importing Wii-only cog requirements.
Pass the opening encounter
A bear appears near the stairs after the cave entrance. Use the adrenaline-dodge tutorial in the space available; retreating along the approach gives more room than dodging sideways between the traps.
Work through the village
The huts and pool form the next search area. Obtain the Village Key and use it at the village gate, then continue toward the larger temple doors. Do not mistake an optional artifact route for the route that advances the level.
Beyond the gate, the temple has side passages with swimming and ledge traversal. Finish the mechanisms on those routes instead of repeatedly trying to jump at the central closed door. Keep the camera pointed toward the handhold you intend to grab.
Check the platform note
The guide lists additional cogs specifically for Wii. They are not missing PS3 puzzle pieces. Likewise, PC graphics-setting workarounds attached to a grab problem are not console instructions.
If a jump repeatedly fails, compare Lara’s position with the linked guide before assuming the game is broken.
