Underworld Mediterranean: Thor’s Chamber and the Ship Escape

Follow the Norse Connection, God of Thunder and Realm of the Dead sections without confusing the temple return with the ship escape.

Leave the temple by the return route

After the kraken section, The Norse Connection leads farther into the ruins and toward Thor’s chamber. Follow the new traversal route back toward the boat rather than assuming the entrance puzzle needs to be solved from scratch.

The larger Mediterranean chapter continues after the temple. God of Thunder moves the action onto the ship; clear the deck and follow the interior route while watching for enemies using the crates as cover.

Escape the changing ship

Realm of the Dead changes the layout and orientation of the route. Once the adrenaline sequence ends, find the climbable surfaces in the first shaft. Valve handles, ladders and exposed wall grips form the intended upward path.

Treat the camera view as the current reference. Holding the direction that worked in a previous corridor can move Lara into a hazard after the environment shifts.

Keep a recovery save

The historical bug notes include a reported PS3 cutscene issue on returning to the boat. A separate manual save before that transition is useful insurance. It does not mean every PS3 play-through will encounter the fault, and no recovery step is guaranteed.

This page covers progression; use the separate chapter references for treasure detours.
