Underworld Saves and Treasure Hunt: Replay Without Losing Progress

Understand Underworld checkpoints, manual saves and Treasure Hunt before revisiting levels or starting another game.

Use more than the autosave

Maintain separate manual saves before major mechanisms, timed routes and chapter transitions. A checkpoint can preserve progress after an ordinary mistake, but it cannot always undo a puzzle state already affected by a bug.

Revisit areas after completion

Finishing the game unlocks Treasure Hunt in place of the usual Resume Game entry. Use Lara’s PDA and Revisit Location to move between accessible areas while searching for missed treasures and relics.

Do not expect every story-only area to remain available. The replay mode is not simply a reset of every encounter and cinematic in the original campaign.

Starting over is a different action

The reference documents a problem in which previously found collectibles remain absent when beginning another game. Do not delete all saves as your first troubleshooting step: preserve your existing files and verify instructions for your exact platform first.

When comparing completion checklists, keep the main game separate from Xbox-only bonus levels and from the different Wii/PS2 collectible layouts. Use the menu route above to revisit accessible main-game areas.
