Anniversary Lost Valley: Cogs, Waterfall and T. rex
Understand the three-cog objective and the role of adrenaline dodge in Anniversary’s Lost Valley.
Remember the waterfall mechanism
The large machine near the entrance establishes the level’s central task: recover three cogs and return to operate it. Explore the valley and temple route with that return journey in mind rather than expecting every new path to lead directly to the exit.
Handle the T. rex encounter
Use the adrenaline dodge introduced in the previous level. Keep weapons drawn and maintain a target lock, then leave enough clear space for the dodge. A wall, tree or obstacle can interrupt the movement even when the timing is correct.
Watch the targeting cues instead of pressing every control at once. Controller prompts vary by platform, so follow the PS3 display rather than copying the PC or Wii button column from another guide.
Return instead of searching forever
Once the cog route is complete, retrace the connected caves toward the opening waterfall. Artifacts, the relic and the shotgun add optional exploration; they should not obscure the core machine objective.
Keep a save before the encounter if you want to practice without replaying the approach.
